Why The GM Diet Works 01/30/2012

_   A lot of people wonder why the General Motors diet works. Here is a thorough explanation for you to know if you think GM diet will work for you.

On the first day, you will be preparing your body for the program that you will use in the next 6 days. The only source of nutrition is fresh fruits. Fruits are nature's candies. They provide everything that you want – taste and nutrients – to sustain life. The food for day two is taken for balance and energy. The vegetables are calorie free and provide fiber. On day three, your body is now ready to burn excess weight. You are still adjusting so expect to have cravings. On day four, the bananas that you will eat will be your source of potassium. You will no longer crave sweets. On day five, you are allowed to eat tomtaoes for digestion and fiber. You can also eat beef as your source of protein and iron. Your urine will become colorless on this day. On day six, your body is now inclined to total weight loss. You should notice a physical change in your body on this day. Day seven is the day when your body has finished the program and you are a lot healthier and thinner on this day.

Just like any diet program, it might work for you, it might now. Because the General Motors diet is pretty easy, the food and beverage are not expensive nor fancy, almost anyone can do it.

Old Items In My House 01/30/2012

_  I am very proud to say that a lot of things in my house were not bought from stores. The usual homeowner goes to malls or furniture shops to buy their new stuff but that's not me. I prefer buying things that are handmade or secondhand. Every item in my house has a story and I am very happy with that. My bed is made from recycled wood. I was able to find a carpentry shop that creates furniture from old wood. It is kind of expensive but I love the history of the bed. The wood boards that were used came from different countries and the carpenter who created my bed gathered it from his trips all over the world. Isn't that cool? Even though I paid a high price for it, I know that it will be with me for a long time. I can even pass it on to my daughter or son when the right time comes. Our huge windows have cheap blinds on them, sometimes, when I want our living room to appear 'country', I change it to patio door blinds. Our dining table and chairs are also made from recycled wood. Aside from the usual electronics like the TV, almost everything electric in my house is pre-owned. Our fan is a vintage fan from the 60s. I found it on this really cool website selling vintage items and ordered it online. It looks very old but it's still working. I also got a really old typewriter for times when I want to write a letter to my husband and kids and I'm too lazy to write. They love getting a letter from me especially when it's written on a 1970s typewriter.
